Week Ahead Astrology
The Sun entered Taurus on April 19th and will stay in the sign until May 20th. Venus is in Taurus until the 24th, when the planet changes signs into Gemini. The focus right now is on stability, security, sensuality, pleasure and beauty.
The Sun and Venus in Taurus invite us to consider what gives us comfort. What gives us a sense of stability and security? Taurus is grounded, practical and sensual. The sensual pleasures of being human are accessible right now. Using our senses to take life in, to enjoy life is important. Small pleasures. Small moments when eternity unfolds before your eyes, take those moments in. Spend time with your loved ones. Spend time doing things that give you pleasure, joy and a deep sense of fulfilment. Think: good food, good company. Or cuddling underneath warm, soothing covers. Feeling safe and secure. Feeling loved and cared for. That’s Taurus at its best. This is why the Moon is exalted in Taurus. This is a time to feel nurtured, cared for, and all warm and fuzzy on the inside.
Notice what planets you have in the Fixed, Earth and Water Signs as these will feel the warm, comforting rays of the Sun in Taurus. This is a powerful time to return to gentleness. Practice being gentle with yourself and others. Taurus teaches us to value that which endures the test of time. What in your life endures the test of time? Who and what do you value? And What or who values you?
We have a First Quarter Moon happening in the sign of Leo on the 23rd and we get a wake-up call and reminder from the Universe about where we are in relationship to the New Moon Phase and the intentions, goals and dreams we began at that time. What have you sown? What have you reaped thus far? This is time to check-in with ourselves and get real about expectations and what is possible and not possible to create, have and hold.
Venus will be entering the sign of Gemini on April 24th and the energy shifts to the mind, communications, travel and commerce. Venus in Gemini wants to talk. She wants to chat and get to know people. Venus in Gemini is a great time to socialize, network and communicate with others. It is a great time to explore and develop new ideas about beauty and commerce. Venus rules Love and Money. Focus on these areas in your life. Notice what needs improvement, change and better communication.
Gemini multiplies. So there may be new options available to us. Watch for new opportunities and blessings coming your way. The big energetic shift happening this week is Uranus entering Gemini for the first time since May 1942 – June 1949 (with initial entry in Aug 1941), the World War II era. Uranus re-enters Gemini on April 25th and will stay in the sign until August 3, 2032 (with a retrograde period in early 2033). The energy of Uranus in Gemini coincides with major wars in the United States and the world. So we can expect to hear more conflict between nations, economies and the United States during this period.
Uranus revolutionizes. Uranus shifts and shakes the status quo. Uranus rebels. Uranus awakens. Somewhere in our lives we are awakening to a new perspective. Somewhere in our lives we are going to shake the status quo of the way things have been going in our own lives. We are stepping into a new horizon. We are seeing things from a Higher Perspective. Uranus liberates. We are being liberated from our own mental/emotional imprisonment. We are setting ourselves free to explore and roam the world. We are spreading our wings and flying into the unknown with complete and absolute trust in the Divine. Gemini teaches us about siblings. As a world community, we will be learning to get along with our fellow brothers and sisters. Gemini teaches us to communicate. We will be learning new, more effective ways to communicate and interact with the world. Expect major technological improvements during this period of time. New computer and phone systems. New internet, apps, and softwares. Like nothing we have seen so far. Uranus brings breakthroughs. Expect the unexpected in your life and in the world.
