Teachings from the Balsamic Phase
Your Astrology Is Here
The Moon enters her balsamic phase in preparation for the New Moon in Taurus on May 7th, when a new seed will be planted in the Taurus sector of our astrological charts.
The Sun moves towards a sextile with Saturn on Monday, and we know what we need to do. We are aware of changes we need to make. We are aware of new structures we want to build. We are cognizant of the actions we have to take.
Before the New Moon in Taurus, the Moon is in the sign of Aries today and tomorrow and we are being taught about who we are and what we want. Aries is teaching us about the Self within. As the Moon meets with the North Node today, we are being realigned onto our true paths, destiny and purpose. Our souls are guiding us forward. We are asked to review the present so that we may focus on the future and release the past.
The Balsamic Phase of the Moon in Aries today and tomorrow helps us to take accountability and responsibility for ourselves and our lives. Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, and it teaches us that everything begins with the self. Our thoughts, words and deeds create our reality. What are you creating?
The Balsamic Phase invites us to review, to take stock of ourselves and our lives and decide going forward what works and what doesn’t. Aries is honest, straightforward and direct. We have an opportunity to be real with ourselves. The Balsamic Phase is about what needs to end, what needs to go, what needs to be released and surrendered. The Balsamic Phase teaches us to let go with Grace and Acceptance. What are you being asked to let go of? Perhaps is a thought pattern or a behavioral pattern that no longer serves you. Perhaps is a dream that will never come to fruition. Perhaps is a person, place, situation or circumstance that has served its purpose, that has lived its season. Notice the leaves that have fallen onto the ground. Can you accept the endings so that new beginnings may come? Perhaps it’s simply that we are asked by the Universe to accept life as it shows up, to accept what is as it is. Embracing every moment as it shows up.
I often ponder that we have so much to learn from trees…the way they surrender their leaves to the wind, the way they dance with the flow of the breeze, the way the leaves feed the soil and create new trees - Effortless surrender. Life is always flowing in our favor, even if it doesn’t seem that way. Perhaps ask yourself during this balsamic phase before the New Moon on Tuesday, what do I need to surrender? What do I need to let go of , accept and release so new trees may grow in the garden of my heart and mind?
Just as trees are teachers, so is the breath a teacher. The inhale teaches us to take life in…to fully embrace what comes in…The exhale teaches us to let go…to surrender…to release…Life is a constant inhale and exhale…perhaps we can learn to accept that…perhaps we can learn to find peace in the goings and comings…in the beginnings and endings…perhaps we can find ease and rest in accepting life exactly as it is…
