Big energy for Saturday, Sunday and Monday…

Venus in Libra squares Pluto in Capricorn today and tomorrow. These two planets in these two signs will not meet again in this same aspect for our lifetime. Making this weekend particularly significant in terms of all things Venus (Love, Relationships, Money, Peace, Justice and Sociality) and Pluto (Death, Rebirth, Sex and Power).

On Sunday and Monday, after the square perfects, Venus moves into Scorpio, the place of Venus’ fall.  Venus is not at ease in Scorpio, so we will notice new developments then. However, notice what comes up for you over the weekend as it will be key in your preparation for the shifts coming during and after eclipse season.

As we move into the Libra Eclipse coming up in October, Venusian themes in our lives are highlighted. Venus rules our relationships, sense of worth and what we value. Venus rules love, attraction, peace, harmony, justice, all relationships, social life and financial life. Something will be stressed to us about the state of Venusian themes in our lives. Notice what your life is telling you to release, surrender and let go. Notice where the power struggles are.  Notice what is transforming and taking shape in your life. Notice what is leaving and what is coming in.

Pluto, the Lord of Death and the Underworld, is ending a huge cycle that began in 2008 and is finally leaving the sign of Capricorn. At its worst, when Pluto enters a sign is like a dark cloud that suddenly turns into a tornado forming in the sky that eventually wipes everything out…and at its best it is the process of birth and rebirth of the Phoenix. The Phoenix is reborn from its own ashes.

Pluto teaches us to find our inner power by losing all our power. Pluto teaches us about our strength by us losing all our strength. Something is lost so that something can be gained. Pluto teaches us to walk alone through the Valley of the Shadow of Death.  It is in seeing the darkness in the world and in ourselves that we find the Light, the Goodness and the Love that surrounds us…Pluto shows you the part of you that is unbreakable. But Pluto also shows us what needs to be let go of and be transformed in our lives. Pluto is the Lord of Death that knocks at our door and says “it’s time.” It’s time to change.

Pluto and Venus are pointing us in the direction of change and transformation in some area of our lives this weekend. Notice what shows up for you in your internal life and in your outer life.

This weekend gives us an opportunity to meditate on the spiritual lessons brought forth by Pluto in Capricorn as it squares one last time with Venus in Libra from now until Monday. This square and the upcoming Libran Eclipse are teaching us to relate better. What are your relationships teaching right now?

The Universe is teaching us to be better at Venusian expressions in our lives. There is a powerful quote by Rumi that illustrates our current, collective spiritual lesson, 'Your task is not to seek for Love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” When Pluto visits Venus, the barriers, blocks and challenges to Love are shown to us. We have an opportunity to face our lives and ourselves and notice what is no longer working. We have an opportunity to let go of a situation, way of thinking or mode of being that keeps us from the full expression of Love in our lives. We become aware of how we keep Love away. We become aware of how we limit Venus in our lives.

The square aspect in Astrology helps us grow, learn and become better by causing deep inner or outer stress in our lives. Notice where the stress is showing in your life. Notice what Venusian areas of your life are asking for change and transformation. Notice where Venus and Pluto are on your chart. What is Venus teaching you right now about Love? Finances? Your Social Life? Your ability to harmonize with Life itself? Your ability to love and be loved? Your ability to find peace and balance in your life?

Venus will change signs next week to Scorpio, where the opportunity will be to go within and digest the lessons received from this and last week.
