New Moon in Pisces lessons

When I was told I would lose the tooth, my first instinct was to be angry with myself. There must have been so many, many things I could have done something to prevent this. But in the end, no matter how much I cried about it. The tooth would be lost. We have a New Moon in Pisces today. This New Moon marks the end of two cycles: Neptune in Pisces (began in 2011) and Saturn in Pisces (began in 2023). As we enter into the Vernal Equinox later this week (I have a special workshop on this topic, link on bio for events), we cross the finish line of those two cycles. Notice what you have learned since both cycles began in the Virgo/Pisces axis in your chart back in 2023 an 2011.

The loss of the tooth and the New Moon in Pisces are teaching us to let go, surrender and accept what we currently have control over and what we have no control over. When I reflect about the tooth, I think of all the times my intuition told me to do something about it and I didn’t. I allowed other things to be more important. Notice how often you listen to yourself, to your intuition. How often you choose to ignore what you know is right to do. How often you choose to ignore your internal clock that says “do this now.” The Universe is always giving us signs and opportunities to listen but it is up to us to do so.

Pisces teaches us to take responsibility for our inner waters. In my case, to mourn the loss of the tooth. To mourn the fact that I knew better and I didn’t do better. Pisces teaches us to go deep into our belly, where feelings and emotions and intuition are found. To sit with the water and swim in it and listen to it and allow it to find its way out of our body through crying or deep, long breathing, for example. Pisces is the last sign of the Zodiac. It is like a Holy Temple that you can step into, to let go of whatever you have been carrying and surrender it to the Divine. It is a place of surrender, acceptance, forgiveness and understanding. When the waters within us finally settle we are able to understand the spiritual lessons behind the choices we make or life makes for us. We are able to connect with our deeper wisdom and keep moving forward.

Somewhere in our lives we have experienced doors closing and doors opening in the Pisces area of our chart. I think of my favorite quote by Kafka, "Everything you love is very likely to be lost, but in the end, love will return in a different way." The Universe teaches us about loss everyday through the sunrise and sunset. Each day a new day is born and in the evening the day dies away. Making way for a new day the next day. Just like that, life teaches us to go on. Something dies, something is born. We lose. We win. Life continues, anyways. And that is the way the Universe loves us. By giving us another chance…and another, and another. Every day, a new beginning.

So, yes, I lost my tooth. And yes, it will take a me a while to forgive myself for that. But in the end, life continues. And all I can do now is care for what remains. Notice what remains of what you may have lost, changed, shifted or transformed during these last Pisces cycles that began in 2011 and 2023. Now, notice where you want to go from here. What do you want to do now? The Sun will rise another day, and another opportunity will come to get life where you want it to be. So, decide as the new day rises and the Pisces cycles stay behind this week…where do I want to go from here? What will I do with what remains? What is the next chapter? That is the work now, to be fully present with the life that is here and now, and decide where you choose to go from here. The power to transform your life is in your hands. The power is in the now.
