Week Ahead 5/17-5/24

The New Moon which occurred on May 16th in the sign of Taurus initiated us into a new journey. There’s no looking back now. The energies of the Uranus in Taurus period (May 2018 through April 2026) have been left behind and now there is no looking back. We are moving forward..

This is a powerful week so pay attention to your life, as the new energies in the sky will show us our next spiritual lessons and what the Uranus in Gemini period (April 2026-May 2033) will be all about. Notice what placements you have in your Natal Chart in Taurus and Gemini, as these are feeling the energetic shift more strongly.

Mercury in Gemini

On May 17th, Mercury enters Gemini. Mercury is the Messenger of God. He brings in new insights, awareness and illuminates our minds and hearts to the Will of the Divine and our Soul. New ideas, perspectives and ways of interacting with the world are now possible. Mercury in Gemini is in dignity making it a great time to focus on all things Mercurial: relationships with siblings and neighbors, short journeys, local travel, commerce, acquiring new knowledge and learning new things, communications, journalism, broadcasting, commerce, education, writing, media, and the overall us of our mind and speech.

While Mercury is in Gemini, we can improve our intellectual capacities and expand our resourcefulness. We can become a jack of all trades. We can develop new ideas and ways of thinking. We can become tolerant and more expressive. It is a time to be mindful of what we say and how we say it. A time to listen to the messages of the Divine embedded in the world around us. The Divine sends many messengers our way, pay attention to the signs and synchronicities and to your dreams while Mercury is in Gemini. Mercury in Gemini will benefit all air signs as well as all mutable signs. Know your placements so you may understand the energetic opportunities for you during this period.

Mars in Taurus

On May 18th, Mars enters Taurus. Big deal! As we now know what actions to take based on the spiritual lessons and insights we received during the Uranus in Taurus period (2018-2026). Notice what you are now inspired to change in your life. Notice what actions your Soul is asking you to take. Taurus is slow to change, but once a Taurus makes a decision, it’s a go all the way. Notice where you have Taurus in your chart. This is the area of your life asking for change, direction and action.

Taurus teaches us about the pleasures of the senses. How to really enjoy a piece of food. How to really enjoy the beauty of a flower. How to take in the experience through all your senses to feel life pulsing through your veins. But to me, Taurus teaches us how to be on Earth. It is the second sign in the Zodiac Wheel. It represents the moment the Soul accepts it is now inhabiting a body. A body is heavier than the Soul, thus Taurus asks us to slow down and take our time. Taurus asks us to find Sacred Ground in our body. The body becomes a Temple for the Soul and the Divine. If we look at it that way, it becomes more than pleasure that Taurus seeks. It seeks the experience of joy and bliss of the Soul in the Human Body. Imagine tasting your favorite meal while connected to your Divine Source. Imagine smelling a beautiful flower while feeling your connection to the Divine within you and all around you. That is what is possible through Taurus and now through Mars in Taurus. Taking grounded actions lead by the Divine within you. Mars in Taurus benefits all Earth, Water and Fixed Signs.

Mars in Taurus will be showing us the way forward after all the lessons learned during Uranus in Taurus. Mars is lighting a flame in our hearts and minds so we may see, know and trust the path ahead. Mars creates. Notice what you are inspired to create. Notice what the new direction for your life is. Take concrete steps. It’s ok to be slow and steady. It’s ok to plan and think things through. But once the vision is given. Take it and go with it. The Universe is asking us to move forward. So keep going.

Venus in Cancer

Also on May 18th, Venus enters Cancer. Venus in Cancer benefits all water and cardinal signs. Know your placements and notice how the energies unfold this and next month.  Cancer is the sign of home, family, the mother and our hub of emotional intelligence. Venus, the planet of Love, attraction and money in the sign of Cancer invites us to expand, grow and nurture these areas of our lives. Venus in Cancer is highly sensitive and intuitive. All the water signs have the ability to feel other people’s feelings due to their heightened intuition. We have an opportunity to expand our intuition as well as our ability to be empathic and sympathetic to others around us.

Use this time not only to care for yourself and those you love but also to take care of your home and diet. Cancer teaches us about what sustains us. What sustains you? How do you feed your soul? your body, mind and spirit? Cancer is a gentle, sweet hug when you need one. It is the soft embrace of someone who loves you. Express your love and care to those around you and let yourself explore the Love that surrounds you. Love is always here for us. It is a powerful time to develop our heart and our capacity to Love and be Loved. This energy benefits all water, earth and cardinal signs. New people may come into your life right now. Pay attention to who or what shows up in your life this and next week as powerful life lessons are being handed to us during this period.

Sun in Gemini

The Sun enters Gemini on May 20th and the energy of Gemini in Uranus will be finally activated. Notice from May 20th onward what comes up for you in your life in the area of life ruled by Gemini or mutable signs in your Natal Chart. We are receiving the spiritual lessons of Uranus in Gemini this week. Uranus is the planet of breakthroughs, freedom and radical, unexpected change. Uranus is thunder at a distance.
