Weekend Astrology

Something in our lives culminates this week. Something gets illuminated. As the weekend approaches, we make pivotal choices. On Friday, May 1st at 1:23pm EST, there is a Full Moon occurring in the sign of Scorpio. Scorpio is an Alchemist. An Alchemist teaches us to transform coal into gold. Pain into understanding. The past into lessons. Suffering into hope. This weekend, we are alchemizing a part of our lives, and we may feel the effects of the Full Moon far and beyond this weekend.

The Full Moon is ruled by Mars. Mars in Aries. We have a very strong Mars. Mars is energy and action. Mars is decisive. Mars cuts through the BS and gets to the point. Unfortunately, it can do so in a blunt manner. So we may need to practice tact and Grace (if possible).

Mars in Aries is asking us to think about our life and our choices. Mars is asking us to look at the direction we are taking in our lives. To see our own lives with clarity and no filter. See things for what they are and not what we want them to be. And in that honest examination decide what to do next. Notice the choices and decisions ahead of you. Take the time this weekend to listen within for answers and direction. Right now, we have the opportunity to take the wheel of our own lives back into our hands. Be clear on what you want and where you are going.

Notice where the Full Moon is occurring in your own life. Notice where the Universe is shining the Beam Light. What do you see that needs change and transformation? Notice where you are asked to see things clearly. Be willing to see. Be willing to understand.

Scorpio is one of the strongest signs of the Zodiac. It teaches us to bear. Bear witness to our own suffering and pain, as well as that of others. Bear the challenges and obstacles of being human in the journey toward our Soul’s growth and maturation. We learn to bear the darkness so we may find the Light. Bear the cost of change because we know what we can gain in the end. Scorpio is the sign of the Phoenix.

The Phoenix is a magical, mythical bird that turns into fire, burns in its own fire and from its ashes rises and rebirths again and again. It is symbolic of the alchemical change that you are going through somewhere in your life. Alchemy speaks of transforming the difficult circumstances in our lives into golden lessons. The fire of the Phoenix, purifies. Both Mars, the ruler of the Full Moon and Scorpio teach us about Fire. We are learning to understand our own fire. We are learning to understand what motivates us, what drives us, and what ignites us from within.

Another symbol for Scorpio is the White Dove. The journey of Scorpio as the Phoenix is to face its fire, its passion and the outcomes of burning passion and inspiration. In other words, what is the fruit of your actions and your life choices? Notice the seeds you have planted in your own life. Notice the fruit of your actions and choices. What have you learned? Can you separate the wheat from the chaff?

One of the lessons of the White Dove is Grace. The Grace needed to understand and forgive our actions and choices, so we may make better, more Soul-aligned actions and choices. The Grace to forgive others. Grace teaches us to return to purity. The pure essence of our inner being. To see the goodness in ourselves and in others. To find the Light of the Soul in each being. To give each other Grace when we forget our way, when we forget we are merely human. During this Full Moon we have an opportunity to give ourselves and others Grace. We have an opportunity to return to our Pure Essence. To connect more deeply with our Soul and let it guide us. Perhaps that is what Mars is truly asking us to do…to let our Soul take the wheel…Let your Soul make the decisions and choices for you, not your Ego…but your Soul. This weekend, let your Soul take the wheel. Forgive yourself and others when Ego gets in the way. Give Grace. May there be Grace in the journey ahead of you. Grace for the road behind us and Grace for what is yet to come. May there be Grace. Grace in your heart and in mine.
