Weekend Astrology - Saturn in Aries

Weekend Astrology

Saturn entered Aries yesterday and will stay in the sign until April 2028. Saturn is teaching all the Fire signs and Cardinal signs how to build and rebuild. Notice what placements you have in those signs. Prior to this period, Saturn was a stone in the sea of Pisces, which after many hits by many waves, the hard stone soften its edges and changed its form. While Saturn was in Pisces, something banished and dissipated. Now, Saturn enters Fire. Saturn is clay in our hands and Aries is the furnace in each we will place whatever form the clay we are holding in our hands takes. What do you want to build now? And look at the areas of your life that now hold ruins, do you wish to rebuild? Or scratch the ground completely and build something brand new? That is the question at hand. What to create next?

Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac. The initiation of Spirit into Matter. The doorway we will take when we begin this journey of Earth. We stand at the Gate now. See life from that perspective. If you were starting your life again? What would you do differently? What path would you take with what you know now? Saturn asks us to get serious about our lives here on Earth. Saturn teaches us about time, karma (what you sow is what you reap), structure (what holds you when everything falls apart?), discipline, responsibility, wisdom, authority and hard work. Saturn in

Aries is teaching us to be the authority of our life. To stop blaming life and others for your circumstances and take charge. Aries is a leader, a fighter, and a warrior. Saturn in Aries teaches us to fight for our lives. Fight for what we want. Saturn teaches us wisdom and structure. We are to be wise about the structures we are creating. We are to be responsible, astute and disciplined.  Saturn is the Father figure of the Zodiac. Somewhere in our lives we are asked to reparent ourselves. To hold ourselves accountable for our choices, thoughts and actions.

Saturn in Aries will be asking us to step up. Somewhere in your life you are asked to save yourself. Be hero you keep waiting for. No one will save you but you. And there is beauty in that. It is said in Ancient Astrology that Saturn in Aries is debilitated in dignity. Which means that it is harder for Saturn to be Saturn in this sign. Aries is impulsive, impatient and wants things now. While Saturn teaches us patience, timing, preparation and planning. Both energies together can lead to inner conflicts or conflicts with others. In many ways its about the conflict between our will and the Will of God/Universe/Soul.

While Saturn is in Aries, we are learning about our self-identity. Who are you really? Who or what defines you? Saturn is asking us to build or rebuild our sense of self. Get clear on who you are at the core of your being and how you are showing up in the world.

Saturn in Aries activates the Aries/Libra axis in our charts. Aries teaches us about Self while Libra teaches us about how we relate to others and the world. We are being asked to notice our relationship with ourselves and with others. How are you showing up in relationships? Saturn in Aries can be selfish and self-centered. There is a warning in that because Saturn teaches us about karma. Karma is the fruit of our actions. During this period we are learning about the Karma we are building in relationships with ourselves and with others. Every action has an equal reaction. What you do onto others, is done onto you. Karma is not the Universe punishing us, its simply the Universe showing us what we are doing, what we are planting. Don’t like the fruit you have planted? Change the crop. Change your thoughts, words and actions and you’ll get a different result. Ultimately, Saturn in Aries is teaching us to be responsible for our lives and for who we are and decide to be. Saturn is asking to build consciously and responsibly.

Yet, in my opinion, the most important lesson that Saturn will teach us is our use of time on Earth. Saturn rules death. I once heard a Buddhist Teacher say, “We begin to die, the moment we are born.” That is a profound truth. Saturn teaches us that our life will have a beginning and end. From the moment we are born the sand in the hourglass clock starts running out. Time is the most precious gift we have been given. Time with your Loved ones. Time to enjoy life. Time. Think about time, how you use it and how you are living your life, because there will be one day…and we truly don’t know when that is…when there will be no more time left. Time will run out for all of us. And if today was your last day, what would you regret not doing, being, having, creating, manifesting? Consider your answers. You still have time to change the course of your life. The clock is ticking. Use your time wisely.
