Weekly Astrology 7/6-7/12
The Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius once said, "Everything is interwoven, and the web is holy; none of its parts are unconnected. They are composed harmoniously, and together they compose the world." Everything and everyone is connected. Think for a moment of the “Butterfly Effect.”
One single seemingly insignificant moment in time such as the fluttering of the wings of butterfly can send ripples into the atmosphere so much so, that the Butterfly’s wings can add to the creation of a massive storm. In Ancient Astrology, it was believed that the skies reflected back to us, like a mirror, the energies of our consciousness, our actions and choices. It was believed that the skies could be read much like the rings on a tree reflect back its age. Nature finds ways to speak to us. To teach us about who we are and what we are becoming. The patterns of the stars and planets, the music of the spheres, are an ancient way of listening to the Divine.
Jupiter in Leo opposing Pluto in Aquarius
This week, Jupiter is moving into an opposition with Pluto, which will perfect next week. However, we will notice this pattern playout in our lives this week. An opposition reflects two opposite forces at war with each other. The opposition may play out in the outer world or it may play out in our inner world. In the outer world, it may take the form of a conflict, fight or disagreement between two or more people. Internally it may show up as an inner conflict between two opposing ideas, think the devil-angel-speaking-in-your-ear motif.
Pluto is in Aquarius. Aquarius is fixed air. Air is about the mind, intentions, thoughts, words, communication and interaction with others. Aquarius is the last sign of Air element. It is the place where we know what we know. We hold on to our belief systems. Our belief systems then determine our sense of self and expression of self in the world. In other words, we identify with what we think. We hold on to our ideas and ideals as if they were an extension of who we are. We can get stubborn, obsessive and compulsive about our mind and what we think and define as reality. However, we are not our thoughts. Thoughts are not tangible. They exist only in our mind. It is easy to forget that all we ever have is one single perception of reality – our own. And that doesn’t define reality as whole. So as Jupiter, the planet of Truth and Justice, opposes Pluto, we have an opportunity to question our own mind. To explore new thoughts, ideas and perceptions of the world. Jupiter opposing Pluto is saying, what if we are wrong? What if there is another way? Another door? Another possibility I am not aware of? This is one way the energies may show up in our lives this week.
Another way may be in significant relationships. Relationships can mirror back to us how we show up in the world. Notice what your relationships are showing you. Notice areas of conflict, stress and opposition. Notice what is out of balance. An opposition is seeking balance and harmony between two opposing forces. Think about oil and water. If we cannot blend, then we must co-exist. This is the invitation right now. How will you find balance and harmony in the face of opposition within yourself or in the outer world?
The Jupiter in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius opposition will perfect next week. In the meantime, notice how the crescendos are building up in your life. Notice where the Universe is asking you to pay attention, change, transform, grow or let go.
We are entering the Last Quarter Moon this week. It is a time to pause, reflect, and re-evaluate our journey. It is a time to acknowledge what needs to be let go, surrendered and released. This is a time to collect the harvest, separate the chaff from the weed, learn from the past and make better choices going forward as we prepare for the upcoming New Moon on July 14th.
Sun-Saturn opposition and Neptune Retrograde
Monday and Tuesday square between the Sun and Saturn is very telling of the entire week. Neptune stations and goes direct by July 7th. Neptune sextiles Pluto and Uranus and stations there before the planetary configuration takes more strength. It’s like the Universe is asking us to pause on this energetic configuration and think about what we are making, building and creating not only individually but also at a grander, worldwide scale. Mars came in to inform us about what to place our intention and action on in the last weeks of June and early July. Notice what has come up for you during this period. What your inner landscape is like right now. Notice what you are inspired to create or uncreate in your life.
This week is setting us up for new beginnings that will unfold in the months to come.
Neptune retrograde asks us to look closely at our dreams, illusions and disappointments. Neptune is enchantment, romance and magic. Taken to the extreme, Neptune can build castles in the sky and it can be like wearing pink colored glasses, we don’t see life accurately. As Neptune retrogrades, a veil of illusion is lifted. We are able to wake up from a dream or nightmare and see things for what they are and not what we want them to be. Specially this week, as Sun (representing Light entering into our awareness) and Saturn (the big reality check) connect in a square, which can be quite uncomfortable but a necessary stone in our shoe and block in the road. Sun, Saturn and Neptune are all forcing us to sit down and face things for what they are. Life is giving us clues. Life is clearly showing us: this is working and this is not. The key right now, is to pay attention. To not turn our head to look the otherway, but to face life head on. Open your eyes. Listen. See. As Rumi would say, “don’t go back to sleep!”
Neptune will be retrograded until December 12, 2026. This is the time to clear your mind and heart from illusions, confusion, disappointments, heartache, loss and pain. A time to meditate and go inward in a grounded way. Walking meditation or journaling would be quite powerful tools to use at this time. Seek what is nurturing, caring yet tangible, stabilizing and grounding. What is truly real can never fail you.
Why is this week significant?
Mars, the planet of energy, action and force activated in conjunction Uranus in Gemini. It’s a potent seed that also activated the Uranus-Pluto trine, Uranus-Neptune sextile, and Neptune-Pluto sextile. It’s a big deal when the outer planets meet in expansive, energetic configurations. Something is being birthed as a collective and individually that we don’t quite see yet. We can feel something is different but we don’t quite know what that is. Neptune hides information. Neptune is a veil between the spiritual world and the physical world. Since Neptune is activated in this configuration, the fact that the planet is going to retrograde before the trine and sextiles perfect is quite telling. Neptune stations at the degree before activating it as if asking us to pause and meditate before we move ahead.
So, from now until December we are getting introduced to anew energy – the beginning manifestation the Uranus-Pluto trine, Uranus-Neptune sextile, and Neptune-Pluto sextile. It may show up in your life as a new way of thinking or doing things. It may be new people, places or situations that may come your way. It will be different for each of us. But one thing is certain, the Divine is bringing in new lessons, tools and new awareness into the consciousness of the individual and the collective. Pay attention to your life. Inner and outer life. As the Universe will be showing directly what this all means for you. Go with the flow. If doors close, let them. If doors open, walk through them. Go with ease and let Life and your intuition guide and support you.
Worldwide observations.
The Uranus-Pluto trine, Uranus-Neptune sextile, and Neptune-Pluto sextile is a generational, energetic signature. It tells us about the children that are coming into Earth at this time and the spiritual lessons and gifts they will share with humanity as a whole. While its too early to tell how that will playout. We can already see some of the seeds being planted by this energetic configuration. Advancements in AI. Great advances in aero-dynamics, science, technology, AI, space travel, and medical science.
Just to illustrate an example of what this energetic configuration may mean worldwide: I recently read in the Smithsonian Magazine Online: “Scientists Say They’ve Made Cells That Feed, Grow and Reproduce, Bringing Them One Step Closer to Building Life From Scratch.” Cells are the hallmarks of life. We are now making synthetic, living cells that are capable to re-creating themselves. Yes. We are already there. Just imagine what else is to come as the energetic signature unfolds. Not only with AI but now with Synthetic Life. We are also translating with the help AI the communication systems of animals and plants.
We are approaching an important milestone in the evolutionary path of humanity. We are getting closer to asking ourselves and perhaps answering. What is consciousness? What is life? The debate that has lasted for eons may come to a head in the next years to come. This is an exciting time to be alive!
We are at the dawn of a new age, a powerful scientific renaissance. And just like people in the past that were living during a momentous time in humanity’s timeline, we are not able to see that yet. But future people will look back at the scientific, technological and creative advances being made right now, as a golden age for humanity.
