Jupiter in Gemini Retrograde this week

Jupiter entered the sign of Gemini on May 25, 2024 and will stay in the sign until June 9, 2025. This week, Jupiter will be going retrograde from October 9, 2024, until February 4, 2025. Jupiter is in detriment in Gemini. Jupiter has a difficult time expressing its expansiveness, wisdom and big energy in Gemini. For example, Gemini is about small talk and gossip whereas Jupiter is about deep philosophical dialogue and the big-picture spiritual truths. However, while Jupiter is in the sign of Gemini we are learning to communicate, learn from others, socialize and interact in ways that integrate the bigger picture of Universal Truths.

Jupiter in Gemini is teaching us about our use of social media, the internet, AI and the media. I recently had a friend close her social media account for a year as a way of moving away from the influence of social media and what it has done to her life. I have thought of leaving social media as well, however, I’m a writer and there is great benefits in sharing our thoughts with each other. But perhaps we can explore other ways of meaningful and positive engagement while exploring our ideas, dreams and insights with each other. Notice your relationship to social media.

Questions to ponder: How can we see the bigger picture through people’s diverse opinions and perspectives on the truth? What is the Truth? Gemini gathers data and Jupiter helps us decipher the truth from all the small fragments of information. Notice what information you are taking in. Notice your relationship to the media. Notice your relationship to Truth. Notice how you recognize Truth.

Jupiter in Gemini is teaching us to communicate better and expand our social networks. This is a great time to learn something new. Go back to school. Learn a new trade. Read a new book. If you are a writer, Jupiter in Gemini gives you a great opportunity to improve your writing. Write more and enjoy the creative process.

While Jupiter is in Gemini retrograde, notice your communication skills and what can improve. Notice your social life and what can be better. Take a moment to notice the state of your mind and the ways you express yourself. How fluent and articulate are you?  How clearly am I communicating what I really want to say?

Jupiter teaches us about abundance and prosperity. Notice the state of abundance and prosperity in your life. Notice what you can do differently. Notice what needs to be improved on or changed.

Jupiter also teaches us to find meaning and purpose. This retrograde is a great time to explore seeing the bigger picture of your life. Why are you here on Earth and what do you want to do with your time here? If your life was a book, what does the next chapter look like? What would you want it to be? Jupiter teaches us to have faith and optimism in our future. You still have time to make this one life your best life.

While Jupiter is retrograde, reflect on your life and what you want it to be. Dare to have hope. Dare to dream and become what you still can be.
