Venus in Libra

It is interesting to note that Venus changes signs into Libra today, just a few days prior to Uranus going Retrograde in the sign of Taurus - A sign that is ruled by Venus.  We are being prepared for the Uranus Retrograde period which begins on September 1st and ends in Late January next year, but more on that later.

Venus was in Virgo from August 4th through the 29th. Virgo is the sign of Venus’ Fall, which means that the energies of Venus had more difficulty in expressing themselves. It’s sort of like a dolphin swimming in a lake, it would not be as comfortable as it would be in the ocean where it is in its natural habitat.

Venus will stay in Libra from August 29 to September 22, 2024.  Venus has dignity in Libra and therefore will be comfortable in her own kingdom.  Venus will be able to express her Venusian ways more easily in this sign, which means that this is a great time collectively to focus on matters ruled by Venus.

Venus rules love, relationships, finances, attraction, pleasure, beauty, Grace, arts, balance, fairness, peace and justice.  Venus rules our heart space. So pay attention to your heart during this period. What does my heart want? What does my heart need? What is my heart asking me for? And how can I listen to my heart?

Look at your Libra sector on your Astrological Chart. What placements do you have in Libra? Then, look on your Natal Chart. Where is your Natal Venus? It is important to get to know one’s Venus as Venus plays an important role in our lives.

While Venus is in Libra, we have a great opportunity to develop the qualities that planet symbolically offers. We can work on being more social. We can work on our creativity, our craft and our art. We can work on our expressions of beauty, fairness, harmony and peace. We can work on our financial life as well as our relationships. We can work with the power of attraction to attract what we want into our lives. We can focus on improving our heart.

What is the state of your relationships? How supported do you feel these days? How supportive are you being to others around you? Venus helps us to better understand our selves and others, and in that helps us develop better relationships. How can we better our relations with ourselves, our families, friends, loved ones and the entire world?

Venus in Libra is graceful. How can we refine our expression of Grace? How are my actions, words and intentions showing the Grace, innate goodness and kindness within me? Is the Light of my Soul reflected in the world around me? Or is my Light dim or hidden?

During this period, we have an opportunity to follow the natural rhythm, symmetry, order and harmony of the Soul and its potential expression in the world. What if I was more forgiving? What if I was more tolerant? What if I was more patient? More kind? More loving? More caring?

Venus in Libra invites us to befriend the person in the mirror. Venus in Libra invites us to get along with one another. Venus seeks cohesion, equanimity and the many, beautiful expressions of the multifaceted diamond that is Love. Notice how Love resides within you? What room in the mansion of your heart holds Love? How comfortable is Love expressing itself in your life? Are you receiving Love? Is Love receiving you?

Venus in Libra comes to knock at the door of your heart. Venus wants to be invited in. Venus wants to come change the draperies, and the sofa, and old chair you no longer sit on. Venus wants your heart to shine….your life to shine. Venus wants you to Love and be Loved like you deserve to be Loved.

We have an opportunity to open the door and the windows of the heart, and let Venus in. It’s time. Love is here.
