Event Horizon

Mars is in Pisces at the 29th anaretic degree and so is Uranus in Taurus. Both planets have to do with initiation, action/reaction, change and the manifestation of energy in our world.

Both planets at the 29th degree, inspired me to think today of the concept of event horizon. An event horizon is a theoretical “point of no return” in astronomy and physics. It is the boundary at the edge of a black hole. Once the boundary is crossed the gravitational pull is so strong and intense that there is nothing, not even Light that can escape it. The event horizon is the place where the observable universe ends, and the mysterious interior of the black hole begins.

So, today, we find ourselves at the edge of awareness standing in the liminal space of an event horizon somewhere in our life path. We find ourselves today at the edges of closing cycles and beginning new ones. In many ways, this is a week to turn the page.

I think of the quote from one Holy Book, “Be Still and Know I Am.” In the stillness at the edge of existence…in the stillness at the place of personal choice…there is a voice that can be found within. An “I Am” that only you can know personally. A deep space within you where you connect to the Divine. Today, invites us to listen to voice of the I Am.

There are many event horizons in our lives. Moments when we cross a boundary and cannot go back. The 29th degree of both Mars and Uranus today, holds the door open for us to step forward and not look back. There is momentum to this degree. It is the final push in the relay race. It is the final breath before you rise above the surface of the sea. It is a moment of enlightenment. A moment of self-awareness. A decision. A choice. An awakening to deeper truth about who you are and why are here. Pay attention this week. Pay attention to what life and your inner guidance shows you.

I saw a picture of Earth from the recent NASA trip to the Moon. And I thought how an ant or an elephant would never see what I saw. How as Humans we are placed with the opportunity to understand where stand, to actually see what the planet looks like from space. That is a gift. And there is responsibility that comes with awareness. I believe we are shown what we need to see for a reason. I believe we are shown what we need to see when we need to see it.

Once you see something, you can’t unsee it. So, what is the reason? That is for you to meditate on. Yet, for me, when I meditate from my perspective, on why the Universe is allowing us to see Earth so completely now and also the Moon. So, that we see we are not alone. So that the face of Earth looks back at us more clearly. We see Earth’s face. It wants us to ask: Who are you? What are you? Why are you? It is as if the Universe is placing a question for us: What will you do now that you see me, Earth? Moon? What will you do with this awareness? For me, it is about building a relationship with what I see. Understand my place in regards to what I see. I see you, Earth. I see you, Moon. I see you, dear reader. And we are connected. And that connection matters to me. And in the 29th degree, I stand in the edge of that understanding and take responsibility for what that means for me.  A life of mindful connection with you, with Earth, with the entire Universe.

So somewhere in your life, you are asked now to stand at the event horizon of the 29th degree. To stand at the edge of what has been and is yet to be. To notice what you are now aware of in your life and not turn your eyes away from what you see and know. To question. To ask. To listen. To become aware and in that awareness…act.

The 29th degree is not a place to act, but a place to know. A place to be still and listen within. A place to review, to learn and to be inspired. Action comes at zero degrees. Action comes when you turn the page. And this week, we step into the zero degrees of Aries.  The place where the Zodiac year begins. The place where the astrological wheel begins. A new perspective or awareness is rising somewhere in your life. A new understanding is now possible. Pay attention this week, as something is shifting and changing. In many ways…we were blind, but now we see.
