Venus and Your Week Ahead

The week begins with a sextile, a positive flowing energetic aspect, between the planet of surprises and breakthroughs, Uranus and the planet of desire and Love, Venus. We have the opportunity to try new things and explore new options in the areas of our lives where Venus and Uranus are found. We feel inspired and energized to tread into new territory and manifest a new vision for ourselves and our lives.

This week, Venus is potent in the sky, use these energies wisely!

Just as the Sun and the Moon have phases, so does Venus. The Venus Cazimi, Venus’ superior conjunction with the Sun, occurred on June 4th 2024.  Recall what your life was like around that time when we started a new 8 year cycle. Venus started a new journey and a new phase as Evening Star in the sign of the mind, communication, commerce and interactions with others.

The Venus Cazimi occurred at 14 degrees of Gemini, so notice any placements in your chart around 12-16 degrees of Mutable (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) and of course notice where you have Gemini in your chart as these areas will be influenced by the Venusian journey through the sky for the next 8 years or so.

 When Venus makes her appearance in the sky as Evening Star, from mid to end of July, the energies of the Venus Cazimi begin to activate in our lives. Our hearts are awakening to the potentiality of Venus Cazimi in Gemini. As Venus becomes visible in the sky so do the spiritual lessons she is bringing to us. Listen to your heart. Listen to the Universe as Love is speaking to us. We start to see what has shifted in our consciousness and in our lives. We become aware of what needs to change and be transformed in the areas of Love, relationships (family, friends, children, business partneships, etc), money and our wants and needs get clearly defined. Venus as evening star teaches us to soften, to be gentle and receptive to life, to become more aware of self-care and how we show up in our relationships. Venus is focused on Love, on loving more and being loved, as well as all things Venusian. We get opportunity to make our lives more beautiful and more fulfulling. What is fulfulling to you?

From about March through May, Venus was invisible or hard to see in the sky. In Ancient times, the visibility of a planet was a big deal because it meant that the planet could see us and we could see it. There was an ease in transmission from the planet to us. However, the visibility of a planet’s heliacal rising depends on the latitude where you are on Earth and we are all not in the same location.  Which means that we won’t all see her in the sky at the same time. Thus, the visibility of Venus will be different for each of us depending on our location in the world. This can make precise predictions harder so it may be best to simply be aware of how Venusian energies are “showing up” or how the power of the planet’s energy is “visible” for you as Venus becomes more visible in your sky. Venus will gradually become more visible from late July onward in the evening sky until Venus reaches greatest elongation in January-February of 2025.  She will become brighter and brighter until she reaches her highest brightness around April of next year.

This week, the energies of Venus will be very active in our lives. Note the dates that follow and notice what shows up in your life in and around the dates mentioned. There’s a new chapter in your life unfolding and Venus is part of that.  What new chapters are you writing in your life? What chapters are being re-written? On July 7th – 8th, Venus sextiles Uranus. Start something new. Explore new ideas, new places and situations that make your heart smile. On July 10th-11th, Venus trines Neptune. A new vision is born from the depth of our hearts. We can manifest what we want and deeply desire. The Universe is working with us. What do you really want? What do you really need? What do you desire with all your heart? Take the steps this week to swim to new shores. A wave of opportunities is arriving, pay attention to what shows up in your life. Venus and Neptune is a very romantic frequency, great day to go on a date with your sweetheart. Also, great day to express love to your loved ones, spend quality time with your kids, pets, family and friends or simply connect with your Soul. Love is a nectar of joy available to us. Find it. Explore it. Enjoy it.

On July 11t, Venus enters Leo. The planet of Love enters the sign of Leo. Here, Venus is playful, fun, sexy and extravagant. She is over the top and she wants to be seen and heard. Leo shines like the Sun and wants attention. Leo is the center of the flame. Leo is romantic, passionate, intense, dramatic and at the same time childlike and innocent.  Venus in Leo is highly creative. We have an opportunity to create from a place of deep passion, heighten creativity and fiery desire. Focus on your creativity and passions. Focus your inner fire. Also, Venus in Leo is great to change your looks. Buy a new outfit. Get a new hairdo. Pratice feeling beautiful and enjoy the beauty of your life.  Venus in Leo is also great to create new art work and creative expressions, and explore your creative side. Take on a new hobby. Find ways to be more playful, artistic and have fun.

On July 11th-12th, Venus opposes Pluto. Intensity is building up this week as Venus moves closer to an opposition to Pluto. The energies of this upcoming weekend are potent. Relationship and financial changes and shifts are possible.

The planet of death and rebirth, Pluto, opposes the planet of peace and love, Venus. Relationship dynamics are highlighted during this transit. The energies over the entire week building up to the weekend are intense. Power and control issiues may come to focus. With these energies, obsession and intense desire for something is possible. Tame your passions. Control your emotions. Find your center. Stay grounded. Emotions may run high from the 9th through the 13th, so take it easy. Breathe. Don’t take things personally. Pick your battles. Focus on what matters, don’t sweat the small stuff. Relationship issues may rise to the surface to be cleaned up. Imbalances in financial matters may show up.
