On Thursday, Mercury in Sagittarius began its journey into retrograde motion as it entered its shadow period. Our minds need a pause and reset. We need a moment to adjust to the changes happening around us. Mercury in Sagittarius asks us to focus on our future and what we want to create and now the retrograde invites us to go inward, slow down and review the steps we are taking. Venus Square Neptune

On Saturday November 9th , Venus in Leo squares Neptune in Pisces, and we may be processing disappointment, disillusionment and grief. Or in the very least we notice others around us doing that. Something in our lives didn’t plan out the way we wanted. Somewhere in our lives we are asked to adjust, and course correct. The Venus-Neptune square takes the rose-colored glasses off from our face, and illusions shatter before us.  The tension from the applying square during the last couple of days, invites us to face the facts and get real about life. The Sun in Scorpio invites us to ask: Now what?

As Venus slowly moves into an Earth sign from a Fire sign, we are invited to make our dreams come true in grounded and realistic ways. The fire of passion in Leo tames, and we become grounded in the reality of Capricorn that asks: How badly do you want it? Because at the end of the day, that’s the question that matters right now. How bad do you want it? Really? What will you do to get it? Dreams, goals and desires need concrete action steps. Dreams won’t fall into our lap. We must go get them. The upcoming Mercury Retrograde will help us draft an action plan.

Venus will enter Capricorn on Monday, November 11th and we are invited to ground our desires, dreams and goals. Capricorn is the sign that can find water in the desert. Capricorn won’t stop until it reaches its goal. Capricorn is the sign that will stand by you after the tornado hits, whip your tears and help you clean up. Venus in Capricorn is patient and realistic, disciplined and results driven. Venus in Capricorn will help us get concrete results. The Universe is giving us the tools that we need to move ahead.

 As Venus moves towards the Nodes of Fate before the end of the year, mayor decisions are being made in our lives in the areas of Love, money and wherever you have Capricorn placements. Pluto will be leaving Capricorn on November 19th, closing a big life cycle. We are taking stock of the spiritual lessons. New life is beaconing the Capricorn sector of our charts. And as Venus moves towards the Nodes of Fate, new doors open in our lives. New spiritual lessons, opportunities and circumstances will arrive into our lives. So pay attention to who or what shows up or leaves your life before the end of the year.

The Teaching of the Owl

A couple of years ago, I was walking into a meeting and a baby Owl came out of nowhere as I walked and sat on the tree in front of me. The Owl stopped me from moving forward and spoke. I was startled but I knew it was a sign from the Universe to listen. So I stopped to pay attention. And I recalled that on that day I knew not to follow through with the meeting. But I didn’t listen, so the Owl was sent to remind me. Venus in Capricorn is that Owl for all of us. The Owl sits on our shoulder now. And is asking us to listen. To listen deeply into our hearts and minds. Listen to our inner knowing. Listen to our intuition. Listen to our Soul. Listen to the Divine.

Cultivate a stable heart

Venus in Capricorn represents a grounded and stable heart. We have an opportunity right now to cultivate a steady, calm and still heart. A heart capable of listening to what is truly best for it.
